Talk about biting the bullet... sorry, my mind thinks in bad puns.
Seems like the photo is ever so slightly out of focus; that might just be because of the light reflecting off the casing. On the other hand, I like how the copper color of the lead is similar to the beard.
What about the title? At first glance I thought it was "Aries" as in the zodiac since you have used many other mythology references. Isn't that the ram or bull? (I should know since it's my sign...) Thought that might symbolize being male or something but I'm not sure. Is it just a different spelling or a different meaning entirely?

Thought that might be the case. Seems you know your mythology while I only dabble. So many cultures with their own twist on things. Now I know Mars is the Roman god of war and isn't it Athena from Greek? So who has claims to Ares... wait, this is a question for wikipedia... ah, got it. Ares is Athena's half brother and while she is the strategic side of war, he is the bloodlust. So never mind, answered my own question.
